Work In Our YMCA Child Care Programs

The YMCA offers flexible scheduling for part-time staff. Part-time and full-time positions are available. Employees who work a minimum of 3 shifts/week get a free adult membership and their children can enroll in before/after school Y-Care for free (at any of our Y sites) while they’re working.

YMCA Before & After School Care Hours

• Before school: 6:00 a.m. - 8:45 a.m.
• After school: 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
• 4K Wrap Around Care (morning): 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. (select schools)
• 4K Wrap Around Care (afternoon): 10:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (select schools)

Youth Development Assistant Staff Positions (under 18)

• High School Diploma or GED required

Youth Development Lead (part-time seasonal, part-time year-round, or full-time year-round positions)

• Certification or approved coursework in childhood development required

Youth Development Coordinator (full-time, year-round position)

• Over 21 years old
• Certification or approved coursework in childhood development required (related bachelor's degree)
• Emergency Medical Responder certification required (or must be obtained timely)

• At least 2 years og experience in children's programming
